I love the languages and the words of music; aria, sonata, allegro, staccato, à capella, al denté no wait that’s pasta haha, anyway, you get the gist of it all. So, when I listen to music in the studio when I’m painting I can’t help but feel and remember and dream while I’m playing with color. When I have a 72×60 that speaks to me, or rather I should say, sings to me, I add it to my Music Series with a musical moniker. – Alison Haley Paul

Yes, I actually DID walk a mile to the bus stop, in the snow, in Connecticut, carrying a cello. To this day I’m not sure how anyone thought that was okay or normal but that’s what I did 9 months a year all through middle school and high school. I wasn’t a young, talented virtuoso either but I have always played and instrument or sang my heart out, and just loved art and music. I was in what was called Chorus in school, and we sang some amazing stuff…the entirety of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess and Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana with The Philharmonic. That was mind blowing to say the least. Goose bumps. – Alison Haley Paulul
