Alison Haley Paul is a contemporary painter of lavishly textured landscapes full of nuanced color. Her work conjures up connotations and geographical memories. The places she paints may not be physically specific, but they are immediately recognizable.

“Viewing my paintings allows one to experience a variety of positive emotions— peace, elation, tranquility— and instills a momentary sense of calm and restores equilibrium,” says Paul. “To view from 18 inches evokes intensity; at 18 feet, serenity.”

Paul majored in art and design at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and earned a BA at the Design Institute of San Diego, California. Her work has been in a variety of museum exhibits and gallery shows, and is in numerous private collections nationally. She is represented by Contemporary Fine Arts Gallery.
